History
Way back in 1935, a man named R.Stanton Avery had a great idea and invented the first self-adhesive label. He founded our original company, Avery Adhesives, just ten years later.

Years of industry 'firsts' followed as his ideas grew, spawned new ideas and eventually led to the birth of Avery Dennison Graphics and Reflective Solutions. With our unmatched range of pressure-sensitive vinyl and specialty materials, we've been building on his legacy as an innovator ever since.
